Vaughan Paul

Vaughan Paul is the Director of Human Resources for Optus and is responsible for leading all Optus HR functions and developing and delivering the people strategy for the company. He was appointed to the role in April 2009.

Vaughan joined Optus in November 2005 as General Manager HR for Optus Business where his responsibilities included leading staff delivering to Corporate, Government and Business customers.
In his five years at Optus Vaughan has successfully driven change across a range of HR functions including career development, talent and leadership programs, staff engagement and the implementation of new communication practices across the business including Optus subsidiaries, Uecomm and Alphawest.

Prior to Optus, Vaughan has worked in a range of senior HR roles with Computer Sciences Corporation Australia including HR Director of Global Infrastructure Services, Director of Human Resources - New Business and Head of Human Resources, Business Banking with Westpac.

Vaughan holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Western Australia and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment from the Securities Institute of Australia.
